Hello lovelies!
It’s been an exciting weekend for me, which is why waking up today and remembering I have real, adult responsibilities, it’s safe to say I’m feeling a little bummed. With that being said, I will be reliving many moments from this past weekend as I write this post, so, if nothing else, that should keep me smiling for the next few hours.
This weekend I finally had a little time to decorate around the house for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday! It really was one of the first chances I have had to explore a little with my inner interior decorator and can I just say, I had SO. MUCH. FUN. Turns out I’m actually not too terrible at it, so that doesn’t hurt anything, either.
Truth be told, I found the idea for table setting on Pinterest but as many of you know, the things you see on Pinterest are either super easy to make and you have no issues whatsoever or you complete the project by entering into a torrential rage and ultimately, throwing your failed craft into the trash. Lord knows why I decided to actually take on the task since I was just about certain that my project-attempt would end up being the latter of the aforementioned options.
Turns out it’s kinda fun to prove yourself wrong!

For any of you who are wishing to steal a few of these ideas for your own holiday table here’s what you’re going to need:
- A burlap table runner (found at JoAnn’s or Michaels)
- A couple bushels of greenery (found at Trader Joe’s)
- Sticks, pinecones, and acorns (found outside!!)
- Mini pumpkins (found at Trader Joe’s)
- White pillar candles (found at Bed, Bath, and Beyond)
A very large portion of this project is just trial and error and moving things around until you like they way they look. Regardless, I still had a blast getting my creative juices flowing a little bit and would recommend this project to anyone and everyone that is at all interested!
