Hi lovelies!
Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day!!! As I mentioned in my other Valentine’s Day post, regardless of your relationship status, you can definitely still have a fun day on this holiday of loooove. ❤ You don’t need a man, nor major plans to enjoy yourself. I do however, think it’s always fun to dress the part; whether you are spending the day at work (like myself), if you have a hot date or even if you don’t any have plans; getting dressed up is more than half the fun!
Honestly, I think I have more fun picking out my outfits for things than doing the actual thing sometimes….which is maybe kinda terrible (???) but it makes doing lookbooks like this so much more fun for me! So without further ado, here are the looks I am loving for this Valentine’s Day!
This outfit is great for a day-date to grab coffee or lunch with a few friends or your boo thang! If you’re looking to keep things more casual, this is totally the way to go!
(Shirt: homemade!; Jeans: Urban Outfitters; Similar Boots: Old Navy)
If you’re looking for something a little more dressy, a casual dress with some pretty lace detailing is a great option! The lace adds just enough of a girlie touch to make this outfit feel feminine and fun.
(Similar Dress: Abercrombie and Fitch ; Similar Lace Overlay: Forever 21 ; Same boots as above!)
This next look is for more of a fancy outing, like a dinner date or a concert. Also can I just say that this lavender romper is everything I have ever wanted. It lays perfectly AND has a cut-out back…*swoon*. I got it from Free People over the summer, so I’ll do my best to find something similar for you guys!
(Jacket: Forever 21 ; Similar Romper: Free People ; Shoes: Steve Madden)
Now, I of course had to throw something a little more robust into the mix…if you don’t know me well, I very rarely stray from my neutrals but I think this holiday is the best time to wear something to make a bolder statement and this dress is sure to do the trick. It would also look SO cute with thigh high boots or even a fur vest for a chilly and romantic evening out. *cute puppy not included 😜*
(Similar Dress:Free People ; Similar Thigh High Socks: Urban Outfitters ; Similar Sandals: Forever 21)
This final look, after further reflection I think would be better without the jacket for a fancy dinner out. The all-over lace detailing on this dress is PERFECT for a romantic evening filled with wine and food and a generous amount of chocolate cake. However, if you’re like me, you’re cold in 99.999% of situations so the jacket would be helpful and also adds a more of a casual feel, if that happens to be the look you’re going for!
(Jacket: Forever 21 ; Similar Dress: Anthropologie ; Shoes: Steve Madden)
Contrary to the title of this post, I am not a huge fan of the color pink, if I’m being totally honest; and unfortunately it’s one of the most common colors for this holiday, so I tried to go with a few different colors for this lookbook to fit the style/palette that I, personally, am more inclined to wear. So, at the end of the day I would just recommend, as you’re trying to figure out your outfit for this Valentine’s Day, focus on putting together an outfit that you feel comfortable in and are excited to wear (whether it’s pink or not), for whatever you have planned to do!
