Hi lovelies!
I hope you’re having a great week thus far! It’s downright crazy to me the fact that July 4th was only a week ago today….it feels like it was forever ago! I don’t like that…I think I need an extra day of this week, too??? 😉
I have a severe obsession with acai and smoothie bowls…if any of you keep up with me on either Instagram account, you probably have gathered that…and one of my all time favorite places to go get some is from Franklin Juice Co. I seriously could eat their acai like every day for lunch if I would allow my self-control to run wild and I had all the money in the world. Since I don’t allow myself to do that and also money is a thing that I would like to have at least some of, I do my best to make them for myself a lot at home so I wanted to show you all today how to build the perfect acai/smoothie bowl!
Step 1: Begin by choosing what kinds of ingredients you’d like in your bowl. If I’m making an acai bowl, I usually take one package of acai, and mix it with a half of a banana and a handful of berries, today I used a packet of mixed berries, but it is delicious with pretty much any fruit you could find, too (I’ve tried most of them!) I also like to add spinach and a little coconut milk sometimes or some pineapple for some additional nutritional (and deliciousness) benefits!

Step 2: Blend it all up! I use my Nutribullet for this step but a normal blender would get the job done just as well.
Step 3: Pick your toppings! Now this is the fun part! There is no “right” way to do this..but truthfully, I usually go onto Pinterest and see how other people have decorated theirs in attempts to make mine look pretty and not like I tried (and failed) to make something pretty that just isn’t going to cooperate. Some of the best topping options include, berries, bananas, coconut flakes, peanut butter, chopped pecans, honey, bee pollen, granola, gogi berries, or cacao nibs!

It’s your turn now! Be sure to tag @asmallsliceofbri on Instagram with your beautiful (or not so beautiful) concoctions; I would love to see how creatively you all designed yours!
XOXO
