What I Wore To Work This Week: July Edition

Hi lovelies!

I hope you’re doing so very well on this lovely Saturday. Life is busy, man. So very busy…but I have to say, despite the craziness, I am enjoying it a whole lot–a very fruitful season, to say the least.

It’s that time again, time for me to document everything I’ve been wearing for the past week all in one place for you working (or soon to be working) gals out there. You may recognize that my hair is up in all of these pictures….#liceproblems . Soon enough, assuming everything I’m doing keeps working, I will FINALLY be able to do something other than a bun/pony…we’ll get there!

Monday

Mondays, as I have mentioned before, around the office, are always a little bit more grumbly, so I always try to stick with dressing as nice as I can, to try to encourage more smiles and not grumbles at the way that I am presenting myself to start off the week. This outfit fits that bill so well I think! It’s pretty much the most typical business-wear outfit I can come up with…except maybe minus a blazer and a good heel.

Tuesday

Tuesday was a little more low-key around the office. Still busy, but not so much that I couldn’t keep up; which if you ask me, this was the perfect outfit for that scenario; business enough to keep everyone around me happy but adding the flared sleeves and crochet, bohemian look to the top, to keep me happy as well. I really love pairing classic office pieces with more fun pieces…add a little spunk to the outfit 🙂

Wednesday

Wednesdays are our slowest days around the office usually. Today I’m glad I chose pants because our office was freezing and since it’s a slower day, I wasn’t up and around, getting all hot and sweaty as I usually would…the only problem? When I would venture outside….waaaay too hot to be trotting around in pants….but ya know, I survived!

Thursday

Thursday is our next least-busy day of the week for sure and the last day of required business-wear around the office…so I always use this day to have a little fun with what I wear, just for kicks. And ya know, it’s usually these days when I get the most compliments on what I am wearing…even though us women usually just stick with the monochrome pallet around the office, we do still like to see a little color every now and again, to liven things up a bit!

Friday 

Happy Casual Friday! The best (and busiest) day of the whole week in my world! I always emphasize comfort over cute on Fridays, but I do always try to find a balance, because you all know they are both very important to me. Seeing as we are doing so much on Fridays, though, and I rarely have any time to sit down, I am very conscious of my outfit choices, to prevent me from getting overheated or too cold at any one point in time. It can be a hard line to toe sometimes but I feel like this outfit was loose enough to keep me cool but still had enough fabric to keep me warm, when needed.
