Hi lovelies!
Happy Saturday! *insert party emoji*
This past week I had the best time getting to celebrate my sweet boyfriend on his 25 birthday. As you all know, we both aren’t really ones for doing anything too extreme, even for birthdays, we really just love our quality time (with ourselves and others); so we didn’t plan all that much for his big day, other than just doing whatever he was wanting to do at that time—teaching me spontaneity one day at a time. AH.
That consisted of visiting our local library, grabbing a quick dinner and then heading out to our bible study…where they surprised him with cake 🙂
And really, what’s better than Jesus and cake?? I mean, COME ON.
So, as I said, that kind of thing would probably boring for most people but we both loved it!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures of us, from the last 3 (!) birthdays spent together, just for added fun:

On a side note, I’d like to just chat about how fun it is to celebrate people. I’m not sure where in me that is ingrained…but seriously. Nothing is more fun to me than to make others feel celebrated and valued, especially on important days, such as their birthdays.
Do any of you also feel that way?
I don’t personally like being the center of attention, by any means, in any situation, ever. However, I just looove the opportunity to make others feel appreciated in that way, assuming they feel loved in that way; which is kind of an interesting concept if you think about it because I feel like 99% of the time we do things for others that we know we ourselves would enjoy (Love Languages anyone??)
That would definitely not apply to me in this situation, though.
Sit with me over a cup of coffee and talk to me about life, though, and I will be feeling cherished for DAYS.
However, this post isn’t about me…..
So I guess all that to say, celebrate the people around you (but find out the way they like to be celebrated, first).
We’re all living in a cruel world (and getting crueler by the day it seems like) and sometimes we just need that little night out/party/quality time coffee date to help us remember that we were created with a purpose and that purpose is to love one another, in whatever way, shape, or form that we can.
XOXO
