Hi lovelies!
Happy Saturday!
My plans for this weekend consist of helping out a little to paint a school with my church and then spending the rest of the weekend out by the pool, relaxing a bit and just enjoying some time off.
And boy, I could use it.
This week was a busy one, full of unfortunately, a few restless nights and consequently, some very tiresome days and perpetual sleepy eyes through this entire week. Not particularly the way I had hoped to spend my week, but ya know, you win some and you lose some!
So here I am, feeling like I’m just getting by one hour at a time, sipping of some coffee and waiting for that sweetness to work its magic and perk me up a bit.
But until then, I’ll convince myself that I’m excited and awake by discussing clothes! Because truly, what’s more fun than that?!
As you all probably know, every month, toward the end of the month I chronicle my work outfits from the past week and share them with you all, along with outfit details and usually, a few outfitting suggestions.
It’s a fun challenge for me to reinvent my work pieces every month, in attempts to prevent dressing too “business-y” or boring and instead breathing new life and fun into my favorite staple pieces.
So without further ado, here are my outfits from this past week….!
Monday
Mondays are the days that I am most aware of what I wear and try my best to make sure I am looking as professional and nice as I can, to start off the week. Beginning the week on such a strong foot, like with this outfit, provides so much confidence and encouragement for me to be aware of all the good things in the week to come and to finish out the week working just as hard as I was in the beginning. It’s crazy how impactful our clothing choices can be on our overall mental states.

Tuesday
Tuesdays I’m a little more lenient with what I wear because we’re already one day into the week and the most professional day of the week has already been used up. I do try to look very well put together and like I am dressing correctly to be in a corporate office but I am not quite as strict on myself on Tuesdays as I am on Mondays, for sure. This outfit totally fits that bill, the skirt and top combo is definitely more professional, but the pattern on the top, makes this outfit a little more fun, as well.

Wednesday
Wednesdays around the office, as I’ve mentioned before in other posts, are the best for dressing more fun because we are pretty slow; which means I can kind of stay a little more confined if I end up taking too much of a risk with my outfit, if I need to. Usually, however, that isn’t the case; these are usually the days I get the most compliments on what I’m wearing because I venture out of the typical business-y monochromatic vibe that it’s so easy to fall into in a corporate setting. And let’s be honest, how fun is this kimono??!! I mean, COME ON!

Thursday
Thursdays are like Wednesdays in that we’re still pretty slow, so I am able to be a little bit more risky, yet again. Usually nothing too crazy but a fun pattern like this skirt has, is exactly the kind of thing I love to show off on these slower days around the office, to liven things up a bit.

Friday
Fridays are very busy around the office so my focus is always on comfort > cuteness. I obviously do always try to look put-together but comfort is definitely my emphasis on days when I know I’m going to be running around constantly from 9-5. This outfit is just that for me! SOOOO comfy and easy to move around in, but definitely still looks like I spent time drafting up this outfit up for a few days before I just threw it on (which I didn’t 😉 )
