What I Wore To Work This Week: October Edition

Hi lovelies!

I hope you are having a beautiful Saturday morning, enjoying this (freezing!) weather with a good cup of coffee in hand in front of the fire….that is exactly what I’m doing, so if you aren’t, feel free to come join me! I’ll be here all morning. 🙂

It’s that time of the month again (HOW??!! Time is just flying these days!) where I showcase all the outfits I wore to work this past week, appropriately titled, “What I Wore To Work This Week.”

For those of you that may not know, I work an 8-5 corporate office job that requires business professional dress Monday-Thursday and then a fun business casual Friday to end the week. Every month, I go through one week and show y’all how I’ve been dressing the previous week at work.

It’s a fun thing for me because it really challenges me to not repeat outfits and to think a little bit more outside of the box with my fashion choices, even if they are already a bit limited because of the dress code. And I think (I hope) this is fun for my readers as well, especially any of y’all that work a corporate job, and who are in search of some innovative ways to style outfits for the work weeks ahead.

Monday (pay no mind to the dusty mirror)

Monday’s are pretty busy around the office and this was by far the warmest day that we had this week. I took full advantage of the chance to not wear tights (can we talk about how much tights suck for a minute here? Because wow. The worst. And I always forget how much I don’t like them until it becomes cool again and then I get sad, as all my insides get squished). ANYWAYS, this outfit is a perfect start-to-the-week outfit, it’s easy to move around in and comfortable…and for me, it was the perfect combo of lightweight feel but still enough to keep me warm, which is a MUST for this time of the year.

Tuesday

Tuesdays I finally feel like I settle into the groove of the week and am excited for all that is to come. This outfit was again just the most comfy thing. I really just look for clothes that are easy to move in while still being cute and that are office-appropriate…that’s not always an easy mixture to come by but as you’ll see throughout this post (and any other office-related post I do) Loft makes a central appearance. They really do knock off all three of those things for me, almost all the time; including 99% of this outfit!

Wednesday

Notice the tights* UGH.

Y’all know how I feel about them…but I do have to say, I got more compliments on this outfit this week than anything else I wore the whole entire week…so maybe tights aren’t the worst thing that has ever happened to humanity after all. I do have to say, I love this gold/black combo going on; I’ve been wearing this look (and many similar) a lot in the last few weeks and I have had so much fun coming up with new combos/layering styles!

Thursday

Thursday this week was SO BUSY. I’m still not entirely sure why….some weeks that just seems to happen. I was extremely happy that I decided to wear what I did on this day, though because I was daaaang comfy and warm the whole day long. Not to mention, these pants are actually the most fun thing I own and I can never wait to wear them, whenever I get the chance to.

Also, notice my new shooting location, whaaat?! Just had to switch things up a bit here.

Friday

Friday was a whirlwind of a day for me. I was the only one working my job for the day so I was definitely feeling stressed throughout the day. Thankfully, none of that stress was because of my fashion choices 🙂 I actually absolutely loved this look and am really excited to add some more 90’s vibes (all of the denim on denim!) to my normal wardrobe choices in the weeks and months to come.
