Hi lovelies!
I hope you had the most beautiful Thanksgiving ever and are just relishing in this long weekend…I AM LOVING IT.
I haven’t had time off of work in what feels like forever so I am just enjoying the heck out of these long mornings in bed and not needing to be anywhere at any certain time 🙂 🙂 🙂 You really cannot beat that.
I wanted to share with y’all a little bit about my Thanksgiving and all the fun we got into but also wanted to share a quick recipe with you, on how to make my all-time favorite Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich that has ever existed…..it’s really quick and easy but y’all must know, I’ve been living off of this basically this whole weekend…and and I haven’t hated one second of it.
But to start things off, my Thanksgiving!
It was so good.
I spent the whole day just getting to hang with and love on my family, which was really, really sweet. My boyfriend was in town and did Thanksgiving with us this year (along with one of his roommate who’s also couldn’t go home), which was really fun, seeing as this is the first what I’d consider “family” holiday we’ve really ever spent together, other than like the 4th of July and Easter. I still feel bad that he wasn’t able to be with his family, but the selfish side of me really did enjoy having him around 🙂
Our day began in the kitchen, and progressed into watching the Macy’s parade, to playing games and going for a walk, to eating our body weight….and then some more, to taking a nap on the couch, to decorating gingerbread houses and eating some more food, to decorating our Christmas tree and listening to Christmas music, to finally, laying our heads down at the end of the day, filled to the brim with thankfulness for all the good things God has allowed each and every one of us experience in the past year.
Now that Thanksgiving is over, and it always makes me sad when it’s over, I must say, I do get excited to delve into our leftovers for days on end….and with that, I want to share with y’all my super easy & all-time favorite turkey-day leftovers recipe, as promised:
