Hi lovelies!
I hope you’re having a beauty of a Saturday thus far!
When this post is scheduled to go up, I will be at a nice Starbucks coffee date with a few of my favorite gals from my Bible study! Nothing better on a quiet Saturday morning than a little fellowship if you ask me π
For today’s post I wanted to show y’all a few of my favorite hairstyles that I have found I’ve been wearing a lot more often these days…to work…and well, actually, to just about everything else, too! (I actually am rocking the knotted half-updo for my coffee date this morning!)
Twisted Pony
This hairstyle is SO EASY to do! You basically just put your hair into a loose low ponytail and then pull the hair apart, right in the middle, above the hair tie (should be just above the nape of your neck), and tuck the entire ponytail up and into that little hole….pulling it all the way through tightly. I always then make sure to pull a few pieces of hair out around my face to make it look a little messier just because I love that look….and this is the oh so cute result! Such a fun little twist on a classic ponytail! π
Loose Braided Pigtails
This style is again SO EASY–as long as you know how to do a proper braid, that is. On the blog awhile ago I showed you all how to do the crown braid I had been doing like at least once a week…and this hairstyle is literally that but without all the pinning involved! I like to braid my just-barely damp hair before I sleep at night (I also lay down a dry towel over my pillow–not sure how much this helps anything but I’ve always loved my hair when I’ve woken up and done this so π€·ββοΈ) and then sleep on them all night so by the time I get up in the morning, they are perfectly messy and ready for the day ahead!
Knotted Half-Updo
This style, for whatever reason, I have found myself gravitating to more and more these days. I love the look of my hair still being down but the added fun that comes from this little baby bun, instead of just a typical mini-ponytail you get with a traditional half-updo. This style is again super easy and I would say I do it about 3x a week at work at some point during the day because 1. I can do it without a mirror (PRAISE!) and 2. It is perfect for keeping hair out of my eyes while I’m bending down to lift boxes/throughout my morning delivery. I make this look happen by grabbing a small chunk of hair from both sides of my face (small chunks because I have SUPA thin hair π …obviously if you have thicker hair, you’ll need a larger handful) and joining them together in the back of my head, like you’d do with a traditional updo. However, instead of just rubber-banding that and calling it a day, I try to add a little bit more hair from the back of my head to the ponytail, just for a little more added bulk. I then create a little tiny bun on the back of my head and tie that up with a hair tie. I then loosen it up a little and pull a few little pieces out to frame my face…by this point in time you should know I like the messier look…and voila! The cutest half-updo in all the land!
Also I promise all of these picutres are of me haha. Just a difference in the time of day shooting/lighting π
Which hairstyles have you been your go-to’s these days?!

XOXO
